President Ahmeti has met with EU Ambassador, Aivo Orav

President Ahmeti reiterated the need of manifesting dissatisfaction calmly so that this case not become complicated and exacerbated
The President of the Democratic Union for Integration, Mr Ali Ahmeti, today at party headquarters in Tetovo hosted a meeting with EU Ambassador in Macedonia, Mr. Aivo Orav.

Mr. Ahmeti and Mr. Orav discussed the situation created in the country after hearing the sentence against six persons to life sentence for "Monster" case in which five people were killed.

Ambassador Orav stressed that official Brussels is following the developments in Macedonia about this event along with representatives of the international community in the country.

President Ahmeti reiterated the need of manifesting dissatisfaction calmly so that this case not become complicated and exacerbated. Mr. Ahmeti expressed expectations that the Appeals Court will take into consideration all social concerns about the development of the trial in the case "Monster" and will decide right.

Shaky credibility of this process can only restore public trust through a transparent process where the evidence will be presented and will prove the guilt. This process should be supervised by experienced international community experts who will have a full access to all process and all the evidence.

President Ahmeti stressed that he understands the efforts of political forces and those who claim to become so in the future and to use the citizens dissatisfaction, but hopes that this use of situation does not the means initiations the violence.

It is a joint responsibility to identify and overcome selective justice efforts, but also judges and prosecutors to carry out their duties freely in order to increase citizens confidence in the judicial process.
