President Ahmeti familiarized Ambassador Kamsvag about the attitudes of the Democratic Union for Integration and the expectations of the majority of citizens for transparency in the judicial process in the so-called "Monster" case and for addressing society concerns by the Appeal Court.

Democratic Union for Integration requires retrieval of credibility for this process and this can only be achieved by repeating the process and with full transparency, supervised by experienced international experts for such processes.

Also, President Ahmeti reiterated concerns that this difficult case is being used by certain individuals and entities for personal gain and political groups that they represent.

Speaking of the need for integration of Macedonia into NATO, Ambassador Kamsvag stressed that the former Norwegian Prime Minister Mr. Jens Stoltenberg will take over the duty of the General Secretary of NATO after the alliance summit in September this year.

President Ahmeti underlined the importance of the coming months for the road to NATO and the European Union and open talks that will lead into easily achievable compromise with the southern neighbor if the parties sit down and talk through international mediation.

This should happen as soon as possible because it ensures peace, stability, security, interethnic relations, neighborliness and economic development.
